RE: Coronavirus (COVID-19)
A statement from Little League International regarding COVID-19 and the impact on Little League baseball for the 2020 Spring Season:
“As information continues to become available regarding the increasing spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), we wanted to provide you with additional guidance on the implementation of the Little League® program in your local communities.
Please be aware that Little League International has recommended that Little Leagues exercise an abundance of caution and implement a temporary suspension of all league activities until no earlier than May 11.”

First and foremost, Johnston (RI) Little League is committed to ensure the safety of the players and their families. We are taking the direction from Little League International very seriously. Per this recommendation, Johnston (RI) Little League will suspend all organized baseball activities until no earlier than May 11. This includes postponing the tryouts planned for the week of March 23rd. A makeup date is TBD.
Secondly, once the league can resume activities, we will do our best to ensure players can play a full season. More to follow.
We will continue to monitor and follow the directive from the Little League International. Please continue to check our website (www.jllri.com) for updates and feel free to email us with any questions/concerns at [email protected].
Also, for those that have asked - in the event the season is cancelled, JLL will provide registration refunds.
Thank you.
